About

Welcome to Little Lambs Learning Academy!

Where are we? We are housed at Christ Lutheran Church located at the corner of Yale and Franklin in Denver near Porter Hospital and Denver University! We used to be home to Christ Lutheran Early Childhood Center. We have kept all of the great things of ECC-a three-star Colorado Shines rated school! We have refurbished our facility, and updated our classrooms! Our new look includes updated carpeting and a new security system.

What is our philosophy of education? We believe that children have an innate curiosity that leads them to wonder why and how things work, a desire to explore the world around them, and in turn discover math and scientific concepts, express themselves through the arts, learn to love reading, and practice life skills that include communicating and interacting with their teachers and peers. Teachers intentionally plan activities for the children to learn skills that prepare them for future kindergarten readiness. These studies are often theme based around the seasons and holidays and what the children want to discover and learn. Your child will enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs, projects, and art activities. They will have the opportunity to be outside in the morning and the afternoon.

What is important to us? This education is done in an atmosphere of safety and security where children feel loved and valued. Conscious Discipline is used for guidance and teach children to identify their feelings and express them in appropriate ways. We believe that children learn many things when they are outside for play time. Children will play outside in the morning and afternoon weather permitting.

Curriculum? Our curriculum incorporates the Frog Street curriculum with Conscious Discipline strategies that help children learn how to recognize and name their feelings and how to communicate their needs in appropriate ways. The curriculum explores a fast array of topics and themes throughout the year.
