Meet your Director, Ms. Sheri
Sheri has been in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years and a director in Early Childhood Centers for over 25 years. She has been a teacher with toddlers through second grade in schools in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Colorado. Sheri started Shepherd of the Hills Preschool in Centennial, Colorado and most recently spent the past 12 years at St. John’s Early Learning Center in Denver. While at St. John’s Sheri led the school in a 4 star Colorado Shines rating as well as accreditation through the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation.
Sheri is a passionate teacher and leader. She loves mentoring teachers, starting new schools, helping to reform a struggling school, and above all else, she loves young children and their families. Quality education and care is at the top of Sheri’s most important priorities.
Sheri is inspired to meet children where they are at developmentally and help them to grow and meet their full potential.
While the classroom is her first calling, Sheri also enjoys the leadership partnership that she maintains with the Denver Early Childhood Council, The Denver Preschool Program, The Denver Area Lutheran Early Childhood Administrators, Early Childhood Christian Directors Association, and other opportunities to meet and collaborate with other directors.
When Sheri is not at school, Sheri loves spending time with her family watching movies, hiking and cooking together. She can often be found doing home renovation projects or sewing something for school.
